The Department of Economics consists of the two organizational units Institute of Economics and Institute of Public Economics.
The Graz Schumpeter Centre, which organizes the highly regarded Graz Schumpeter Lectures, the Economic Policy Forum and a Summer School every two years, the interdisciplinary Wegener Centre for Climate and Global Change and the profile-forming area Complexity of Life (COLIBRI) are closely linked to the Department of Economics.
